We have become a nation of selfish, indifferent and heartless people. Unlike Europe, we have poor social support from our government. So the least our companies can do is at least have a bit of compassion. Imagine someone who perhaps apply to 100 jobs and finally got one, went though all the paperwork and then ghosted.
