I think this makes sense. I do think there are better options at this price point. I was confused about why the bathrooms had 12x12 tiles— which feel builder grade— but maybe the materials of those tiles are upscale.

Connecticut and Wisconsin are busy streets. Macomb, which is so narrow with parked cars on both sides that people have to pull over to let people pass, is not. And anyone who parks on Macomb for the zoo is a moron.

So...the street is narrow and packed with cars...that sounds busy.

Why is someone a moron for parking on Macomb which is maybe 3 blocks from the zoo?

People who want to live in CP know (or should know) that you’re not going to get lots of garage and parking like if you were farther out. They value being closer in. It’s a trade off.

The yard backing onto a ravine which is ideal for some people (privacy, nature) but is also a trade off (no big grass yard for kids to play on).

So this house has some particular constraints that you wouldn’t have in say Spring Valley or Potomac. Both of which have their own constraints like former munitions site and being way out so lots of driving.

The interior is very bland but that may be intentional to help it sell. Personally l dislike that the interior is so different in character from the exterior and would want to interior to have more character so l’d need to budget in putting in modelings, lighting, paint etc.

My kids are 10 & 12 now and I’d prefer the pool. Plus there’s still PLENTY of land in the backyard it’s just not some flat green grass space. You’ll have to walk through the woods and up the hill in tregaron (2 minute walk) for that.

I don’t know. This is my dream house on Macomb. The backyard is up against the nature conservancy and I always lived the glass addition at the back and the red color. I thought 5.3 was high but 4 seems underpriced now. I mean that’s an insane amount of money so not many people have it who also want an urban location. Maybe the market is finally tanking?

Again with the sea of white. It’s awful. Looks like an office. Someone needs to show up with paint (yellow, sage, red, blue) and wallpaper and accent lighting. Strip the door down to dark walnut.

If I had little kids I would not want to give up a yard for a pool.

Yes- we have a random saying driving in our car-- "ooh look at that house! gorgeous! but if we can see it then everyone can see it". Not for us. We live on a cul-de-sac and I don't see that ever changing. Some people don't want to be on a busy road. Some people don't mind.

Kitchen outdated that’s when I stopped looking at pics.

It's lovely but one can do better at that price point.
