Another vote for Peet's Major Dickason's.

I roast beans at home every couple of days.

Personally, I drink instant, but here’s a review of supermarket ground coffee brands from James Hoffman. His whole Youtube channel is devoted to coffee, and even as an instant drinker, his knowledge of the subject has occasionally pulled me down the rabbit hole.

I am a Folger’s girl, my DH grinds beans every morning. Personal choice.

Why stick to gross coffee, OP?

+1

This is like asking if DCUM recommends bud light or Miller lite.

Are you new here?

Which one is it for the crowd on here?

This might be the least messy thing one can do in a kitchen, aside from crackers and pre-cut cheese on a paper plate.

PP here- my kids are light sleepers so I don’t like to use anything loud in the AM. And forget to do it the night before. I need 30 minutes to drink coffee before I am a nice person.

I usually get my beans at MOM'S - they're roasted locally, usually pretty fresh, and only $10/pound. I like Stumptown for my espresso maker.

It takes 35 seconds to grind the weight i need for a pot and like 5 seconds for a double espresso.

When I get coffee in a can (or now a tub) I get Folgers because it’s what my grandma drank.

If you’re interested in grinding your own beans, I agree that it’s quick/easy to do at home. If you’re in MD, Giant sells Rise Up beans which are my favorite — it’s in the “local food” section.

I’m a big Dunkin fan.

My husband and I have been buying and grinding our coffee from Fresh Market for years. Recently we were at Giant and I bought a bag of pre-ground Dunkin. I like it so much better—guess I’m low brow. I do pour over.

How long would it take to grind enough to make a pot (12 cup)?

45 seconds

With the $50 one from Cuisinart you'd press a button and walk away. Maybe you have to press it twice.

If you have a $20 grinder you'd have to hold it for less than a minute.
