You can always try to sell on your own, just price it to sell.

It’s never heard of Daudet but the rest basically hold up. Chekhov — so good! No way they fit all of Tolstoy in there unless it’s 6 point font. Interesting that they didn’t include Twain or any of the significant female authors (Wharton, Austin, the bronzes).

Jesus, we're doomed. Honestly, we're not spending enough time making sure the next generation is okay. I feel this way anytime I'm in a restaurant and the entire table next to us is on their phones - grandparents, parents, kids, etc.

It will be trendy to read an actual, physical book in a few years. Just wait.

I 100 percent agree with this. Just like vinyl records came back. The 1927 books may be valuable, but it will depend on the authors and the print. But for sure, print books will have their day again. And you may have something good. Don't throw it out.

You can check any second hand bookstore that buys and sells used books. People might not buy it as a set, but if the titles are worthwhile they would buy them for the titles.

Who is the publisher? Find the publisher and year and series name and lol up on eBay first. There is a large market for books if it’s a rare set and complete.

A complete set of Harvard Classics (which I presume they are by the description) will sell for between $250 and $500 on eBay. Might not be worth your effort but they are not without value.

Yeah, sure.

Yeah, I also don’t believe that story, unless they were aliens on their first day on earth.

It already is. I've noticed that Barnes and Noble has started selling really fancy hardbound editions of books popular with twenty somethings.

+1. Amassing tons of beautiful hardcover books is very much the trend on BookTok.

Also, I don’t understand that story. My kids are young and very much of the internet age and yet would never mistake a book for an electronic device. Neither would their friends.

Actually they will. Especially for decorative purposes.

Could ask at some of the larger used books stores in the area. Or try Facebook marketplace and see if a decorator wants them.

Call Second Story Books near DuPont Circle and see what they recommend.
