Why are you looking to do this? Is your child failing?
Reclass is a private school term, and not unusual in that world. It's much more common for private school kids to be redshirted, which pushes the entire age of the class upward (particularly for boys). So if you are transferring in with a boy who started K on time, he might be very young for the cohort and they might request that you have the child enter at their current grade, repeating a year, putting them in the middle of the age range, and earning themselves another year of tuition.
