They know there is little they can do until the midterms, and many are actively avoiding the news in order to be able to function. Until then, Trump has made it clear he will give Israel a bank check to do whatever they want.

This has been in the news every day. I think many Americans are very outraged about this issue, including my very middle of the road, casually racist and transphobic mother. But the portion of the country that has the most influence over current foreign policy is not reading any actual news, they are only reading propaganda.

Israel have gone beyond what their what their enemy was, the Nazis tried to keep everything a secret. Not only do the Israelis cheer on a global stage when Palestinian children die, they make jokes about it.

You have to remember that the entire world does not matter when it comes to Israelis.
