Where is this? I have a family of 5 and almost never see this. Not for a regular room with 2 queen beds. Where do the other 4 sleep?

Question for Residence Inn type hotels. Do they have more than one bathroom? 6 people to one bathroom does not sound pleasant.

We frequently stay at Residence inn and Spring Hill suites or other Marriott brand suites hotels both of which have rooms that can accommodate groups of 6.

Not all hotels offer max capacity of 6, but SOME Hampton Inns, Embassy Suites, Springhill Suites, Residence Inn and Hyatt Places do. Also resort type places (Kalahari, Great Wolf Lodge, etc.) have large rooms for 6+.

We are a family of 6 and we've done everyone in 1 room, "suite" type rooms where you're getting a bedroom and living room with a pullout couch, one large room with 2 beds and a pullout couch, 2 separate hotel rooms, and AirBnB/VRBO. It really just depends on the hotel, location, and costs.

Parents in separate rooms is not a vacation. That is a trip.

Right. That's straight up misery.

We do AirBnbs if it's more than one night - otherwise two rooms and parents split up (which is fine with me -DH snores)

We have 3 kids and get either Springhill Suites/another Marriott that sleeps 5 or AirBNB. In Europe, we either do AirBNB or a hotel with connecting rooms. Often AirBNB is a better deal though.

West coast is better for trips w larger families - look at hostels - esp Portland has some awesome ones. NYC has a few now too.

Embassy Suites and SpringHill Suites each have some room types with 2 queen plus a pull out sofa bed. Both also include free breakfast, which also is a big win for a larger family.

Another vote for Embassy Suites. Their breakfast is always good too.

Some Moxy hotels have bunk rooms with 4 or 6 beds built into one wall.

We have 4 kids. In the US, we have found Residence Inn, Springhill Suites, Drury Inn, Embassy Suites, Homewood Suites, Home 2 Suites, etc.

In Europe, we've found there are a lot of aparthotels or family hostels and getting a 6 person private ensuite. They are surprisingly nice. We've also like Yooma Urban Lodge in Paris and similar types of hotels.
