No, much of it is not needed. My son likes his own stuff so regardless, there will be two mini fridges. I mean, if the room does not have one, then he will let him use his but he is not having anyone mooch off him.

lovely. you must be so proud.

My son was in a suite of 4 guys. no coordination -- we let them figure it out on their own - and they did. We gave a budget for what they wanted to buy (folding table, coffee maker, area rug, etc...) which they barely used any of the $$$. The only thing we supplied was disinfectant wipes...another parent supplied paper towels, paper plates, forks, knives spoons....which they ended up using for pizza orders and door dash

Don’t do that

Seriously. You are giving us all a bad name.

Sure. Area rug, microwave, fridge. Possibly a tv.

It’s 2025. There’s no reason to pre buy a mini fridge.

NP here. Do they often end up with multiple fridges and microwaves in their dorm rooms? Or none?

Same.

Same too. Roommate brought it and my son never used it once. Never used the little vacuum, the air purifier, the keurig, the fan. This year (sophomore year), he is packing by himself.

Another words treating them like a child so they can be a terrible partner some day. Let them figure it out.

So far they’ve talked about everything but actual room logistics. I assume we’ll figure out fridge when we get there
