I don’t think kids today are raised that adult bedrooms are private spaces. Reading about the woman in the 80s who would play in her parents bedroom because they had a waterbed astounded me because I was not allowed in my parents room or my grandparents room unless I was invited. Even today as an adult, I do not go into their bedrooms without an invitation. I always made it clear that my child was not to play in my bedroom or have friends in there, but if I was in my room, they did not need an invitation to come in. It may be a generational thing.

That's what I find trollish about this post. OP is completely fine with a male stranger watching her kids but freaking out that she saw him standing in the doorway of the parent's bedroom. It makes no sense.

When I was a teen babysitter I used to peek around the house. It was just interesting. I assume some of the babysitters we have hired have done the same but it's one of those things it's better not to think about. I just wouldn't worry about this..

This would rank very low on my list of concerns. Was the door to bedroom shut? If so that’s slightly more of an issue but I still wouldn’t think it was a big deal. If you got him again I’d just ask him not to go into your bedroom. He probably was looking for a charger or wanted to see the view out the window or just was curious to see if your unit was different from his.
