This might not be helpful, but my Magic Chef appliances have chugged along for over 20 years. I think though, that they used to be a Whirlpool brand — that was then sold to another company.

+2 On year 11 with mine. The only appliance with problems was the microwave, in year 10.
That age tells me they were made before the Haier takeover of GE appliances.
