In and Out Burger! There’s one by the airport.

Eat like the SF locals- go to Fisherman’s Wharf and eat at Bubba Gump’s.

Yup.

I wouldn't eat lunch in SF if your bags are in your car. Unless you park right next to the table you eat at.

When you go to a foodie area, you budget for that. I say this as someone who earns five figures. I wouldn’t eat at Burger King.

(Smile). As I was saying, sometimes I realize we just are not as well off as most here. We simply can't afford some fancy restaurant, but I am sure the advice would be useful to most here.

La Boulangerie is a great cafe with fantastic bread/sandwiches- that's the one I have personal experience with, had a friend who used to live nearby and went there a few times when visiting. But there are a couple of pizza places, a sushi place, multiple taco options, a burger place, Chinese, Greek, etc all within that strip of 3 blocks or so on 24th. Will surely find something there that everyone will like. If you sit outside and look west you will be looking right at the Twin Peaks.

The other area I would look at is the Richmond District, at all the places along Clement on either side of Highway 1. Similarly convenient spot between the airport and the GG Bridge, and again a cute neighborhood with plenty of good places to eat.

This. Clement St. specifically, Burma Superstar or Good Luck Dim Sum.

I will say that if you are arriving at 11 from that United flight from BWI, you actually do exit the airport via the Burger King rather than the good food court with the dim sum.

Pp here - The Burlingame rec center was recently redone with two above ground lots and a parking garage. While nowhere is guaranteed, I’d be comfortable leaving bags in the car there - especially if you have a trunk.

I used to live in DC and now live in Burlingame anout 5-10 mins from the airport. It could be a long drive into the city (traffic) and finding food and others are right about leaving anything in your car. I’d eat at the airport or eat in Millbrae or Burlingame and then drive. In Burlingame, the main road with restaurants is Burlingame ave. (Broadway also has restaurants but is older and has fewer choices l.) The town parking lot by the library or the new parking on Lorton Ave usually have space. Or, because of bags, you could park somewhere a bit more residential (by Pershing park, for instance) and then walk into town. There are so many options on the ave that you could stroll and decide what looks good - my favorite is Caffe Central, but Crepevine probably has the most variety.

I’m going to second not leaving your luggage in the car in SF or really any Bay Area city. You’d probably be fine eating lunch in Burlingame but if you are arriving on a weekend the main road with restaurants , Broadway, can be hard to find parking.

I don’t think that’s necessary in Marin. And definitely too far to backtrack if eating in the city.
