The stats for VT are almost worthless if you want to go into the engineering school since acceptance rate for that is so low vs that for any other major.

VT does not yield protect. Every year, surprised parents claim that it does when their kids don't get in. They are very upfront about the fact that they do not do this and say so right on their website.

Because my DC has a huge group of friends that got in and they are very close and share this info with each other.
