Lincoln I think is a subsidiary of Ford.

I had a Mercury and after it hit 90,000 miles the thing was in the shop all the time.
Hated that piece of junk > will never purchase a Ford again.

I now drive Hondas only and have been pleasantly surprised just how well these vehicles hold up compared to the others.
Sure a Honda co$ts more than a Ford but in the long run the value is so worth it.

Sell it when warranty ends to avoid maintenance issues and repair costs -- though the same could be said for Kia and Hyundai, and their warranty period is much longer.

I owned a very nice Lincoln SUV purchased in 2019. The interior and features were as desirable as any on the market. I liked the car. Sold it the minute it started having transmission problems at 20,000 miles. Lincoln knew of the problem too. They recalled the model for transmission problems. The recall involved only a software fix which didn’t work. The transmission chunking while on the road just wasn’t acceptable. These incidents really resonate negatively with a consumer. I have an Acura MDX now and it is very reliable.

Kia, Hyundai and Genesis have a better reputation than in the past. For some reason I never have seriously considered buying one.

If you Google it, their reputation is unreliable. However, I do like how they look, how they ride, and the driving position. If you are the OP, though, this is probably not the car to buy if you want a reliable car without expensive maintenance.

Mazdas have style but I think a rougher ride. What’s difference between 50 and the 5?

You don’t think Honda and Toyota engines are underpowered?


If you are looking for a car that will take off from a stop, then yes Honda and Toyota might be underpowered for you. I’ve owned many Hondas/Acuras, they’ve all been “slower” off the start but when you get them revved up, they’re plenty fast and I have had no issues with passing power on highways.

If you keep it until it dies and don't want expensive maintenance, I would go with Ford/Lincoln, Honda/Acura, Toyota/Lexus.
