I am also a lawyer and I disagree. Divorce lawyers are known especially to unnecessarily drive costs up. And what you are encouraging is unethical and obscene. An uncontested divorce should not bankrupt a family.

If in DC, you can use the free services from the District. You probably never want to use anyone whose claim to fame is that they're low cost. Everyone needs high quality legal help. The people in the DC mediation office are top notch, based on personal experience.
