In my 20s I used to buy dressy clothes all the time for dates and events that I wanted to have happen,. I guess I wore most of them.

I don't need to dress up too much for work, but I do occasionally. I love going out to a great DC restaurant and wearing heels.

My teenage daughter recently asked me what pantyhose even are.

I don't miss dressing up at all.

Lol. I commuted on Metro in skirt suits and dresses with sneakers on.

I came to love pants suits. Women's clothes are beautiful but more difficult to wear and care for.

My favorite brand of panty hose exited the market and it was the only I kind I could usually put on without a snagging incident.

Since fashion continues to get cheaped out, and designers don’t make practical, durable business wear at department store prices anymore, I guess I'm calmly resigned to being frumpy by former standards.

Welcome, my friend!
