I go to lots of pool parties, wear a cute sundress or shorts, and never do more than dip my toes in the water, if that.

I always accept the invitation by saying that I am not a swimmer, but would love to hang out with everyone.

No one blinks an eye. In fact, very few adults actually get into the water. The only ones who do are the random women who drink too much at these kind of things, or parents who have little kids in tow at the family friendly parties.

Unless your boss and coworkers are in their 20's, it's unlikely anyone will even put on a bathing suit except for kids. Wear a kaftan or sundress and you should be safe from the swimming thing.
