For a literature/philosophy double major, I would probably recommend Pomona or Scripps or even Pitzer College.

Over the past couple of decades, some have complained about the heavy use of alcohol & drugs at CMC by CMC students. Written too often to be ignored.

Nevertheless, CMC offers a great curriculum with excellent job placement in a 5 college community.

Within the past decade, CMC was caught cheating when reporting inflated SAT scores to college rankings services such as US News. Not sure whether or not the miscreants are still a part of the CMC administration.

Did someone just compare a private college of 8000 across several schools in California (10% accept rate) to a state university with 27,000 students (50% accept rate) in Alabama?
