A lot of selective schools don't offer any merit at all because they don't have a hard time attracting any group.

"Hard time attracting" usually refers to URM, first gen students, athletes, or a student with stats way above their usual attendees.

Not sure if it helps but Lehigh applicant from class of 23. Unhooked from NOVA 3.98/4.5, 1560. Campus tour prior to applying. Offered 50% tuition discount. Really liked the school but elected to attend UMD.

Elon originally 10k, then another 7.5k with Fellows program
FSU 0k
Furman 30k
Gettysburg 52k
GW 0k

Sewanee 33k
South Florida 2k, Honors Program
Wofford 33k

Then, around April 27th or so, American offered 22k, and Elon, Sewanee, and Wofford all offered another 5k each.


Thanks for sharing! I thought SC gave a lot of merit, that’s surprising. I also thought GW would give a small amount.

American 0k
Auburn 11k
Elon originally 10k, then another 7.5k with Fellows program
FSU 0k
Furman 30k
Gettysburg 52k

South Carolina 0k
Sewanee 33k
South Florida 2k, Honors Program
Wofford 33k

My DC applied to three schools in Ohio that freeze tuition- University of Cincinnati, Ohio University, and Miami University

Lehigh offered an honors program, but no merit money. 3.95/4.82, 36ACT

Don’t think Carleton gives much/any merit aid. Gotta look at Grinnell, Macalester, St Olafs, and Ohio SLACs.
