OP wasn't stopped for the expired tags it was the illegal U-turn. The expired tags then became part of the problem...

Yes, and they're massive hypocrites. The minute they get unfair treatment anywhere (at the grocery store, their kid's school, anywhere at all), they come on here to create whiny poor-me threads. But they absolutely LOVE to dump on others for doing the same. Rules for thee but not for me.

I'd think so. You do realize every brain surgeon, every professional athlete, every senator, every CEO, every spy - even James Bond - has to keep their registration and emissions tests up to date. Somehow they manage.

You're being a flake in life. It catches up to everyone eventually. And how is the stress of driving without registration for three months even worth the stress that entails?

It certainly seems very harsh, but I don't know the law on this.

Whether this officer over-reached or not, hopefully you will make sure to have nothing outstanding in the future, in case you get pulled over.

Now imagine if you'd been an immigrant. You'd be stuck sleeping on the floor sharing a toilet with 50 other people, awaiting deportation.

Oh this is 100% a Maryland driver. Everything is everyone's fault and they're full of excuses.

*Made in Illegal u-turn
*3+ months late on emissions and inspections tests
*Then asks: "Can he really give me a ticket for this?"

It's hard to belive people live like this with this type of mentality. Scary really.
