Yes, I am. My daughter died at 2 days old, so I very much worry.
I am so very sorry for your loss.
I wanted unmedicated births, and did them in hospital. Thank goodness, because the first time my son was in danger and came out grey, and the second I lost too much blood and nearly died.
Morons who think it's fine because women have done this for centuries forget the extremely high mortality rates during childbirth.
You should continue to push for a midwife-assisted hospital birth. I worked with a midwife practice, and they were fully ready to support me at the hospital. I had full liberty of movement, no one bothered me, the environment was satisfactory.

Not your business.
Not good for her
Mortality in childbearing is horrifying without a hospital
Then again one less maga anti vaxer works well sorry OP
So you think everyone giving birth at home is maga and anti vax? Are all democrats as dumb as you?

She tried to decline antibiotics but the birthing center wouldn’t allow her to. 2 days went by and she never went into labor so the birthing center sent her to the hospital where she had to have Pitocin and an episiotomy. My nephew literally came out blue. His temp was low and she refused to let them put him in the warmer. It was terrifying.
She just found out she is pregnant with #2. She wants to have a home birth this time so she can’t be sent to the hospital. I’m terrified. I know it’s none of my business but I can’t stop being fearful for both the baby and her life. I know I can’t change her mind, so how do I cope?
