I said this as a teenager. Changed my mind later. It is not deeply disturbing. It's probably good that a 16 year old is not thinking about marriage. Get some maturity, education and life experiences first.

goodness, OP. He's 16. Does it worry you because you think he thinks this way because he sees that your own marriage is awful or something?

When I was younger, I didn't want kids. My mother thought that was crazy talk. After I got married, I changed my mind and had 1. Then, I thought, ok that's it. Just the 1. Then I had another.

He will want to marry when/if he finds the right person.

Now go enjoy a bbq on this 4th. Unfortunately, I have to work

My 15 year old son has said the same thing. I chalked it up to immaturity. I was not deeply disturbed but maybe a bit sad.

I think most people don’t want their parents to marry. I’d feel that way even now as an adult.

Deeply disturbing? We must have different definitions of that then. It was deeply disturbing when my 16 yr old told me about the voices he heard in his head telling him to hurt people.
