I agree with Temple, one of my son’s friends will start there in the fall. I also wouldn’t rule out Rutgers, although it is a much harder admit since going over to the common ap. Possibly Fordham.

OP. We dont qualify for low income, and her school does not rank. SAT superscored from three takings, prepped, DC does not want to retake again. Which east coast lacs are generous with aid? We will look into Case Western. Thank you

Question has been asked but you haven't responded. How does that GPA compare with the rest of the school? This is an important piece to it. Will it be impressive compared to other students?

OP. We don't know tbh. There are quite a few with high gpa in her friend circle.

NP here with a rising senior with the same GPA, rigorous courseload, and a 1390. In my DD’s case it’s test anxiety. She is an extremely bright and hard working student, and she works herself up so much about these tests her brain just doesn’t do what it could when she’s relaxed. That’s what explains the discrepancy. She’ll retake in August.

For merit aid, try to get apps in early. Well before the 1st round deadlines.

Catholic universities below the Notre Dame/Georgetown tier seem to be offering good merit aid. Many of these are regional schools so I am not sure which fit your needs.

I believe it’s actually a function of going test optional. Because now only the top 2% report. People don’t seem to get that test optional isn’t a great thing.

A 1300 can get you into an ivy league if FGLI or rural or from a geographically desirable location.
