Our allies hate us. We have lost all trust. We have no foreign diplomacy. We are ignorant trash to the world. But it's okay I guess.. we can just "think" we are winners with our isolationism.. oh wait.

So when Trump says, “Oh, it’s you. You’re really stupid and fake news. But go ahead and ask your stupid question,” and they respond with, “Thank you Mr, President…” Just no. Don’t thank someone for humiliating and insulting you. They just need to stop showing up for him. Let him talk to his maga reporters/echo chamber.

💯

This behavior at any company would result in a serious conversation with HR. Hostile work environment.

I’m a 5th grade teacher. I spend so much time teaching work ethic, kindness, respect, and civil discourse. Every time I hear him speak, I think of my students, current and former. He is so incredibly rude to everyone who doesn’t bend the knee. It’s unbelievable, and I think we are underestimating the effect this has on our kids. Whether we want him to be or not, he is setting an example for our kids. No matter what those kids or family members say or think of him, the fact remains. We have taught our kids that you can be so incredibly vile and still rise to the top.

People try to justify not caring about this by saying that his personality doesn’t matter and has nothing to do with his politics and leadership. This is someone whose words and actions can literally start a war. Of course it matters.

Our kids have been through a lot. Due to internet and social media, they face challenges and influences that are beyond our comprehension. We need to do better at electing and elevating leaders who are the type of adults we want our kids to be.

It can be hard but try not saying POTUS's name. when you need to, simply say, "the POTUS is usually responsible for etc etc ...." Highlight leaders who you think are worthy of your already precious class time. At home or car, turn the channel/station or mute if he is on which is easier to do in your own space.

Libs finally getting the SNL treatment.

The right is tough and can take verbal abuse. The left breaks down and whines

Ok. Got it. Verbal abuse should be the national dialogue. This is how Americans are now. We’re abusive, cussing trailer trash. Look out world, here we come.

But also, they can dish it but not take it. Biden doddering out something insulting them, they are livid, foaming at the mouth, blind with rafe. But a racist story about Haitians eating pets? Hiring a comic to tell racist jokes at Trump's MSG rally? Sorry, you cannot tell me MAGAs are tough.

Obama ate a dog. What's wrong with it and why is it racist?

Because it was fake, they KNEW it was a fake story, and they went with it deliberately to lean into a 'dark skinned bad people gonna steal and eat your personal pets.' sentiment to rile up their voters. Trump knowingly peddled this fake, unverified story on an internationally televised debate to tap into racism and paranoia towards dark skinned immigrants. And for the record, one can easily make an argument about the importance of removing criminals in our country without vetting, without this. But he had to go there and did so knowingly.

And for the record, two of my best friends are Haitian so yes I am sensitive to this particular one. It is where I anecdotally observe that MAGAs overlook his racist speech because they have few good friends who are actually Black (at least the MAGAs I know, which is quite a few, tend not to have anything beyond acquaintance relationship with anyone who is Black).

I would think minorities would be flattered to be like Obama.

Way to ignore the actual points I made with a bizarre comment. Perhaps ask your Black friends or was I right in my assessment that you can make this comment because you don't actually have any close Black friends?

I don't think that Trump did a good job explaining that other cultures like Obama's and the Haitians commonly eat dogs and cats and it is not welcoming to look down on them.

MAGA can’t even take being called “weird”.

Wanting discourse to be adult and respectful isn’t the same thing as whining. You’re framing it that way because you want so badly to feel powerful and libs to feel owned, when in fact they’re either laughing at your childishness or just shrugging and walking away.

Lib positions are always "owned" when the MSM media isn't slanting, deleting, editing or cutting off the right. Trump gets the owning out too quick to be roadblocked. It's awesome!

But you know that right media does exactly this, right? Find me a Fox News story on the DOGE guy who got fired for leaking proprietary info. On the day the stock market crashed due to Trump's tariffs (which he quickly rescinded), every media outlet including WSJ covered thr crash on their front page while Fox News did not. You cannot make these claims about the MSM without acknowledging that your preferred media sources do EXACTLY this.

Trump "reverse edits" the MSM. They can't take it and it's very entertaining.

I'm remembering the quaint old days when GOP politicians and pundits were horrified--horrified, I tell you!--with Bill Clinton's affair with ML and for allegedly teaching a whole generation of American youth about oral sex. (Mind you, most of the titillating details came from the Starr report, which was widely published in its entirety, including in mainstream publications, and contained passages that read like soft porn--but that's another story).

Now, we have a president who demeans and bullies all kinds of people, whose private affairs with porn stars and Playboy models are common knowledge, whose anatomy we are all sadly acquainted with, who is an adjudicated rapist, who makes sexist and racist comments unapologetically, and much, much more--and the GOP is unbothered. Big Clinton was certainly a terrible role model--but this guy is next level.

With loyalty tests, sanewashing, sycophantic infotainment, dumbed-down analysis, and headlines straight out of “1984”. Gee, journalism is so much better under Trump! /s
