I'm surprised his new album is getting so much hate. I think it's fun. I don't need my music to be deep and meaningful. Just be catchy and fun.

My DDs love him. I think it’s one of those things where his looks make him seem accessible and not as out of reach as some stars. He looks like someone you could know, so it’s like a real person just belting out these heartfelt lyrics at you. I hate the popular songs that devolves into screaming (Beautiful Things?), but some of his other ones are catchy. Definitely appealing for teen girls!

I like him. I just watched the video for Electric Blue on YouTube and I was entertained. Seems pretty self aware.

I love him and think he’s so cute! But then again, I have a DS22. Benson Boone reminds me a lot of equally adorable and handsome Curt Smith of Tears for Fears circa 1985- someone I did have a huge crush on BITD!

Also my era had plenty of not necessarily handsome, not photogenic, not conventionally attractive types who were big stars with a huge fan base…pre MTV you could be ugly.

I only saw him on some award show last year and he had great energy. Not sure why he is so hated here.

Not a fan. His image is revolting, wearing ridiculous get-ups like he wants to be the next Freddie Mercury. He comes off as an empty shell being pimped out by the music industry.

His voice is like nails on a chalkboard to me.

OK, and based on his popularity - lots of people find him interesting. Not sure why you're going so hard on this. You're taking it to the extreme with constant comments on looks of a young person doing very well for themselves.
