However, I don't really think we are considering a tactical nuclear bomb to drop.
However, I live with someone with some real life experience in studying fall out. and he says that fallout would not be a big issue if it were deep in the ground. But, he also does not believe they will use one.

There's not a single country in the Middle East that wants to see Iran with a nuclear weapon. Iran made a mistake going for weapons grade uranium. The entire region wants to see that program obliterated. It's not coincidental that Syria, Jordan, Iraq, and Saudi Arabia are all helping Israel right now.

They are not close to a nuclear bomb, so Israel is manufacturing a false sense of urgency to distract from its Gazan destruction, and it seeking to exploit having a dunce in the White House.

It's obvious to anyone with two neurons to rub together that Iran's ultimate goal is a nuclear bomb. It's practically alone in a Middle East full of hostile nations! Anyone would want a bomb in the same circumstances.

Another factor to consider is that at this specific moment in time, Iran is more fragile than usual because its proxies Hamas and Hezbollah have recently been significantly weakened by Israel (using billions of US dollars over many years to invest in Mossad and defense intelligence, as well as weapons). Hezbollah will regroup at some point, the wheel of fortune may change, etc... so is it now or never?

BOTTOM LINE : it's not as simple a dilemma as you might expect.
