To take this slightly further, I'd say that Bard's identiity is linked to that of the Hudson Valley.

I noticed a recent update to their website that says they are going to start offering a small number of merit scholarships, average of $10K. We are planning to visit as I hear it’s a love it or hate it kind of place, but the music focus is a huge plus for us. I also like that they offer EA, not just ED.

They aren't wrong. DCUM are too busy pearl clutching about protests to give good advice on a college like Bard. Literally half these comments are complaining about how woke it is. It's unproductive.
