This. They differ in degrees of awful, and most of the travel nerds tend to think that Delta is least awful with AA the worst and UA somewhere in between.

This is such a tired and inaccurate trope. The only European airline appreciably better than US airlines is Air France. BA, TAP and Iberia are worse. Yes the middle eastern airlines are better, but even the Asian airlines are a mixed bag.


I found Lufthansa, KLM, Austrian, Brussels, Finn Air, Turkish, that I flew in the past few much better than United.

If Lufthansa or other western carrier with good pilot standards, sure. Otherwise no .
