I start tonight. Do you have any tips?
Anyway, to decrease side effects? I’m worried most about being lethargic and stomach pains.
NP. Congratulations on making a life changing decision! My advice to avoid side effects is to eat as healthy as you can and be sure you eat enough. Also eat enough fiber (my nurse recommended an apple a day) to avoid constipation. I think I was a super responder to my GLP (tirzepatide) and my appetite crashed to nearly nothing (an absolute shock for this former binge eater). I was slightly nauseated, tired and light headed for the first week or so, but I honestly think it's because I was barely eating - lost 7 pounds that first week. Crazy. I adjusted and after that first week have had zero side effects. It worked so well for me! I lost 20 lbs and have been maintaining for about 2 months by taking a microdose - just 1 mg every 2 weeks. Life is so much better. I'm no longer obsessed with food, hating myself all the time, warring with myself when I go to parties about whether I'm going to eat the crap food or not. For the first time in my adult life I just eat a normal amount of food and feel satisfied. It's such a relief not to be starving all the time. I don't ever want to go back to that feeling so I think I'll take this microdose forever.
