Those ratings are irrelevant now. They used to represent overall student test performance by majority of kids but now the only way to get a good score is to have only extremely high performing black kids with only relatively low performing white kids. If the black kids aren’t all outperforming the white kids (which generally doesn’t happen) then your school isn’t getting a high score.
