Guys- just ignore the trolls and they will realize this forum is for us. They’ll go away if we don’t feed them!

That's what you got out of that PP? That Wegovy is "a crap shoot"?

You’ll feel better in a few days or week. Give yourself a chance to adjust. And don’t eat any junk food or overeat.

I'm with you.

Same. I don’t get why anyone would willingly deal with these side effects.

Congratulations.

I’m on Wegovy and recently upped the dose to 1.7 but I went from 1.0 to 1.7. I can’t imagine going from .25 to 1.7. .25 is the starter dose just to get your body used to it. I’ve had very minimal side effects and have lost 20lbs. Try injecting into your outer thigh since the side effects tend to be less there than injecting into your abdomen. And check the dosing. Your Dr should not be upping you that rapidly.

I've been on Wegovy about 14 months now and have had bad side effects -- including nausea paired with diarrhea. I'm still at 1.7. For me, the side effects wax and wane. They are not gone, and I'm guessing that for me they never will be.

I can't speak to WEgovy as I've been on zepbound, but definitely my body adjusted to the dose over time. And I moved up VERY slowly, and because i had to go w/ compounded medication I was able to really increase very minimally.

My body would flip out similarly at a jump like what you made OP. So yes, it will probably level out over time, yes you might want to titrate up more slowly (if possible) and yes - you may be able to manage some of the symptoms with other medications, timing, diet, etc...

Good luck!!!

I find the side effects are worse when-

*first day or two after upping the dose
*Have eaten too much protein or larger portion of food too filling (fries, nuts)
*have not eaten enough or nothing at all

Tums and acid reducer help tremendously. The metallic taste goes away after the first few hours of the day
