Geo Group, one of the largest private jail businesses in the country, donated bigly to the Trump campaign. And they're hoping to make out super bigly by contracting with ICE.

In the months leading up to Election Day, the nation's largest private prison company poured a million dollars into a super PAC supporting former President Donald Trump.

The donations from Geo Group were far from the largest corporate contribution to Trump's war chest -- but few industries are set to benefit from the incoming Trump administration as significantly as private prisons, which are expecting a surge in business driven by Trump's plan to deport millions of undocumented immigrants.

During a recent corporate earnings call, Geo Group CEO Brian Evans estimated that his company could make as much as $400 million annually by filling empty or underutilized beds at existing detention facilities to support what he called the "future needs for ICE and the federal government," referring to the U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement agency.

How long would you go without food before taking matters into your own hands? If you want the people you've kidnapped to follow your rules, you at a minimum need to feed them.

Detention centers should not use drywall to hold people. Amateurs. Defines Trump's admin.


I’m willing to bet some of the detainees worked construction and knew the wall was weak. You would think a prison would be built out of cinderblock.


They wouldn't have had to work construction before to know the walls were weak. A simple tap on the wall and the hollow sound would have given it away that the wall wasn't solid and worth giving a kick.

Weren't ICE supposed to know what they are doing? Who's gonna change the drywall? I don't know about you, but I don't want my taxpayer dollars wasted on incompetence. Where's Musk when you need him? /s

The biggest Trump donors aren’t always the best at construction. See also Fisher Sand & Gravel and the big beautiful wall.

OP here. Yes, that's what I stated. Trump hires "friends" who are incompetent, just like him and his administration.
