On Friday he skipped one class and went to a class that more of his friends are in, I expect more of the same this week. Since MCPS made this dumb decision, they can figure out what they want to do him.

My 2nd and 5th grader are going, and I've promised my 5th grader she can hang out in my classroom if nobody else in her class comes. I gave my 8th grader options and right now she's going on Monday and will see about Tuesday. I know there won't be anything instructional but it seems like a good chance to just hang out with friends. I'm showing a movie while I clean up the classroom, since teachers lost that extra day without students.

Do I still need to file for absence on school website for next Mon/Tue? The school requires us to file for absence when kid not coming in school during school year.
