We need a “Levittown” for the 21st century but better that allows all people to have access to low interest mortgages and financing.

I’m writing my council member saying that a new football stadium is ok to me so long as there are stipulations that more than 50% of the employees have to hired from within Wards 6,7,8, they need to be paid a livable wage, the ability to unionize and a certain percentage of revenue (15-20%) goes directly into an affordable housing fund. Or the city needs to be able to have a percentage of equity in ticket sales for 10 years to offset the initial investment from city coffers. I don’t want a Walmart scenario, where we give them a big tax abatement for 10 years and then they go back to MD at year 9.
