VT has long accepted the majority of applicants.
Sure, it’s not UVA or W&M. But it’s well ahead of every other VA state school and that hasn’t always been the case.
Not sure about "well ahead." Seems similar to JMU, which says a lot.

How hard is it to change a major once in at VT? I know if it was easy, everyone would do it, but is it possible to apply to a random major and switch to a more popular one?
