My kids LOVED Vegas. Granted we were only there 2 days before hitting the western national parks but that was the perfect amount of time. The casinos are so fun and interesting to meander through since they’re all different. We did Area 51/Omega Mart, the Eiffel Tower, the container park downtown with a giant praying mantis that shoots fire, Old Las Vegas, the casino sign museum, Bacchanal buffet which by kids had never been to a buffet and thought it was incredible, I can’t even remember what else. So fun.

I forget to mention get a picture in front of the famous "Welcome to Vegas" sign. There is a small parking lot outside of it. I don't think you have to pay but we gave $5 to a guy who was there, giving him our phones and he knew the right angles to get a good shot. A small thing, but I really love those pictures.

We stayed at the Vdara a couple nights with our kids as it is all non-smoking and doesn't have a casino, but is very centrally located. The pool there isn't as massive as Mandalay Bay there but they enjoyed swimming in it. We saw the Beatles Love show (gone now), the Titanic artifacts exhibit, and ate at the Gordon Ramsey restaurant (overpriced but they love Master Chef Jr so....) We stayed in Vegas at the tail end of a Zion and Bryce road trip, and it was a fun way to end the vacation. Two nights was all we needed though.

We did it a couple years ago with a 12 and 15 year old. They seemed to like it.

Stayed at Venetian (we were only there a couple nights so splurged)
Did the Omega Mart which was very cool
Bellagio fountain
NY NY roller coaster and arcade
Walk down the strip in the daytime
Volcano thing at one of the hotels
Saw a cirque de soleil act. Would have done Blue Man Group with an extra night as I love them.
Hung out by the great Venetian pool

It capped off the end of a trip we took that started in Phoenix and stopped in Sedona, GC and Hoover Dam on the way so we did not take day trips from Vegas.

Our kids loved Mandalay Bay pool, Meow Wolf, Blue Man Group, and just walking around looking at fancy hotels.

We just did Vegas - highly recommend Omega Mart and other stuff in Area 15 including the John Wick experience (fun even if you never saw the movies).

We had not been planning on going to Vegas but ended up due to an unexpected change in plans. Stayed at the Venetian, which the kids loved.

Have you ever taken your kids to Vegas? We did and it was tons of fun. No misery at all. (Of course, we went during April break, so we did not deal with hot weather.)

My kids (12 and 14) loved Meow Wolf. It's definitely unique. They also loved just walking the Strip, looking around and popping into places that looked interesting. We went to the see the Michael Jackson cirque show and they didn't love that (I did). We should have done the Sphere instead.

Stay at Mandalay Bay. Even if they hate Vegas, they will love the pool there. It's further down but the trams make it easy to get into the main hotel area. People keep suggesting Hoover Dam--I guess some kids would like it but I've been twice as an adult and found it boring both times. YMMV.

I wish we had done the Neon Museum. It was so hot when we were there but I think we would have done more if the heat wasn't so awful.
