A financial planner needs all that stuff. They can’t just make up a number they think you may need to work to attain in retirement.

I have a wealth manager who handles my retirement planning as part of his fees but I’ve found ChatGPT to be great. I have a lot of models going at the same time.

I suggest you look at the National Institute of Transition Planning (NITP) and see if they list financial advisors to work with. NITP caters to federal employees.

Fearless Financial. We’ve only worked with Lori Atwood. She definitely has lots of experience with federal employees but she doesn’t do that exclusively.
