My kid (seventh grade) had a quiz yesterday and another on Monday. They are still learning at that school!

They can't watch jurassic park in fcps, not even at the high school level. District policy caps out at PG for high school movies.

My kids have watched PG-13 movies school.

It’s a bittersweet time and she feels it’s the last time to see some of these kids. Many are going to Marshall, Madison or private schools.

This is frustrating. Our FCPS MS goes to a bunch of different HS and they aren;t doing any kind of ceremony

I thought all of the fcps muddle schools do some kind of 8th grade celebration. All the schools in our area do something.

it the same as snow days

Well, we don't really have snow days anymore. And snow days are unplanned.

So it's really not the same.

What sets it apart is that they’re pondering this choice two days in advance. Should I send Larlo to school on Monday, or should I send him to Argentina?

Literally laughed out loud at that post. Can’t wait to see that kid play pro one day………..

Good. They can read and clean desks.

Na. It is not the laziness of the school level. It is the incompetence and pandering of the school board.

It just shows that the school calendar should end no later than the first week of June, like we were promised when FCPS moved the start date to mid August, then flipped on to add in a bunch of random religious holidays throughout the year.
