Not looking forward to a wet and rainy time trials tomorrow. Hoping the rain won’t affect their times too much. Can’t imagine it to be pleasant swimming backstroke…

They will have it in the rain. Thunderstorms will delay. They will try and get as much done as possible.

One year we got stormed out completely. The whole morning. It made for an awful season. The coaches had to go on last year's times and guesswork. We lost our first few meets because of it.

You don't have a B meet before your first A meet? That's what our team will rely on if we are stormed out on Saturday.

If you use the B meet as the de facto TT, would you require everyone to swim all four strokes and remove IM?

Oh no! The meet wouldn’t be over until the next day!,

It looks like a low probability for rain. Like 15 to 20% and in the low 70s to start the meet. Could be worse.

We do have a B meet, but there are already plenty of people who can't make it. If we want a solid A roster for the first meet, we need those time trials.

Most clubs are doing makeup time trials on the 9th

Honestly, if it is pouring and cold and if my child were a guaranteed B-meet-only swimmer, I would probably skip time trials and just wait to pick up times at the B meet. Our team will not let a swimmer swim in an A meet without times, though, so swimmers who typically swim A meets have to brave it out in the cold and rain. I feel like it was 60 degrees and rainy several years ago — maybe 2021? Yuck.

There are a lot of teams not having a B meet this Monday (June 9th) because school is still in session. If they get stormed out for time trials they will have no times. I was surprised how many people I have spoked to that their NVSL team is not having a meet this Monday.

Yeah, we are in a big B meet league (Springfield-Burke), and we don’t have a B meet Monday.

Make sure to send your kids with warm clothes, they will be freezing if it's raining. Our standard is two towels, non-cotton sweatpants and their swim coat (or fleece jacket.) Some years time trials has been freezing with rain.

As a timer- flip flops, synthetic pants and rain coat.
