Maybe the posters aren't as familiar with those other areas because Wheaton is someplace they've actually been to. Because Wheaton is actually a good place to live and visit.
I saw
https://www.maryland-demographics.com/wheaton-demographics
"The largest Wheaton racial/ethnic groups are Hispanic (43.4%) followed by White (22.6%) and Black (19.6%)." Leaving 15% for Asian and the rest
https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Falls_Church,_Virginia
Falls Church
68% White, 10% Asian, 10% Hispanic, 4% Black

Just in general, buying a home in a few years and am kinda scared. Especially about Glenmont.
What are you scared of? crime? schools? gentrification?, which I don't think is happening. Where are people buying/tearing down/rebuilding? I see a bit of it in Aspen Hill and it is ghastly...but I don't think it is gentrifying.
Gentrifying is what I’m scared of I have no kids so schools are no issue.
What do you mean by gentrifying? It used to be a whole middle class town. Now it’s a lower working class Latino town. Which way do you want it to go?
I don’t want it to stay any kind of way I just don’t wanna be priced out.
Anonymous wrote:No. Used to be somewhat diverse, now it’s 95% Latino with a large undocumented population
