EMTALA is broader than requiring care when death could be imminent

It’s always lies.

There is no change in hospital requirements. In states with abortion bans, the Emergency Medical Treatment and Labor Act (EMTALA) requires hospitals to provide abortion care if it's necessary to stabilize a patient's condition during a medical emergency. This federal law generally takes precedence over state laws, including those that ban abortion, when a patient's life or health is at risk. Period. This is just more liberal melodrama.

It's not. go worship your orange god and let the adults talk.

Adults use actual data in their response instead of blather and accusing people of blasphemy. Grow up and post some actual facts. Mine stand.

You don't have any except what you hear on FOX-which hello blather and blasphemy Also do your research like a real adult and go beyond what Fox tell you-here are some facts from the "great" state of TX:
Pregnancy became far more dangerous in Texas after the state banned abortion in 2021, ProPublica found in a first-of-its-kind data analysis.

The rate of sepsis shot up more than 50% for women hospitalized when they lost their pregnancies in the second trimester, ProPublica found.

The surge in this life-threatening condition, caused by infection, was most pronounced for patients whose fetus may still have had a heartbeat when they arrived at the hospital.
this is from the Texas tribune if you'd like to read the whole article you MAGA nut job just Google: Rates of pregnancy-related sepsis and deaths grow in Texas after abortion ban.

This thread is about the Trump administration taking down Biden era guidance. Keep up with the thread. Your post has zero to do with the issue we are talking about, which is that EMTALA is still the law of the land regardless of guidance hospitals were given about stabilization of pregnant women in ERs.

Keep up with what dump and MAGA are trying to do with P2025....you want to act like women rights to reproductive health is not being taken away. Go back to Fox you moron.

Doctors in Idaho were medivacing women in these situations out of state because the laws didn’t allow them to legally treat them. Idaho challenged the EMTALA and it went to the Supreme Court. That’s all just “liberal melodrama”?
