I had a pair of basic Rothy flats when they first came out, and they were comfortable and fine-looking. However, the expanded breadth of Rothy options like mary janes and sneakers scream "I've given up on fashionable footwear" to me. So ugly now.

I like sketchers. They are super comfy. I hate Toms shoes. They provide no support.

NP. This style is super popular again. I love them.

I saw a stylish 20-something wearing a pair of Doc’s fisherman sandals the other day — almost identical to the ones I wore to my college graduation in the mid 90s.

I think espadrilles could be a great option for you, OP. These are not only the most comfortable espadrilles I’ve found but they are actually comfortable and quite supportive and sturdy (hard to find in an espadrille in my experience).
