Rest as much as you can. Both right now in the acute illness phase and for the next few months. That's the best thing you can do to prevent long covid.

Symptoms of long covid often start 6 to 12 weeks after you're testing negative and feeling better.

It’s just a virus. Rest and fluids. Meds as needed.

Not to worry -- I am holed up in a bedroom in my house for the duration, and hoping nobody else in my family gets it.

But do you know how many doctors want to hear that your slightly higher BP is probably due to COVID? Zero. They don't seem to be educated about this yet and want to immediately intervene on HBP traditional routes.

My doctor tested me after COVID and saw a sudden new spike in triglycerides. A year later, still elevated. She says it’s not uncommon at all for Covid to result in heart disease.

My friend got covid and got type 2 diabetes immediately after. Regular labs showed zero pre-diabetic flags, got covid, got full-blown diabetes.

Covid activates all kinds of other things. It's criminal that we take it so casually here. "Just a cold" is a deadly mentality.

It's also triggers autoimmune diseases.

A neti pot or nasal saline spray will help if you're really congested.

Feel better!

Thanks for all the suggestions everyone!

Day 2 is better than Day 1 so far, after a solid night’s sleep.

Sorry to hear about all the post-covid issues. I am certainly hoping to avoid that!

Research shows some people need to take the paxlovid for longer, to clear the virus
