Ugh. You all need to learn how to hold it. I'm in my 50s and never need to use the restroom while I am out and about.

Also, department stores - Bloomingdales, Nordstrom, etc. The Container Store always has bathrooms for customers but often doesn't have toilet paper in them, even first thing in the morning.

I've noticed grocery store bathrooms are filthy even at Whole Foods.

Bathrooms in nicer restaurants are generally cleaner than bathrooms in less-nice ones.

+ When DD was a toddler we often had to make pit stops to take her to the bathroom and always looked for hotels if we weren’t near a rest area.

The bathroom at Neiman’s in Tysons is horrible

I saw someone post on here during Covid that the women’s bathrooms at Lowe’s are pretty clean and barely used.

Depending on what city you live in there are a lot of tear downs (Arlington, McLean, Falls Church, etc) and some of those portapotties have saved me from a bad accident. Not the cleanest but better than going in your pants.

Nordstrom is #1, but when traveling, we will pull into a hotel off the highway (Hampton Inn, Marriott, etc)

Not Macy’s. I was there a few weekends ago and was surprised at how bad it was.

Wegmans generally has far better public restrooms than other grocery stores.

The best public restrooms are in random mid-rise office buildings, but a lot of them lock their restrooms with a physical key or a key pad.

They’re often really gross, but 711 has a bathroom and it’s for public use (that might be different in the city). Wegmans bathroom is almost always near the café entrance.

While they’re generally disgusting learn where your local grocery store bathrooms are. some of them are in the front but a lot are still in the back that can be quite a long ways when you need it.
