Gen Z takes the cake on all things that are bad. They are owed everything and need to contribute nothing because doing so will ruin their mental health. I’m with them on climate change though!
I got into this thing on Instagram about people being pulled over for simple traffic violations and end up getting arrested. There were a lot of females in the 18 - 25 year old age group. The cop would come up to the window and the girl would be on her phone. She would start yelling at the cop, refusing all directions, misstating the law. She would end up getting arrested. She would start screaming Don’t Touch Me! And GIVE ME MY PHONE! NOW!! CALL MY DAD!
They only showed the bad clips so you can’t tell what percentage of this age group acts like this. But they were eerily similar. They all demanded their phones, they all screamed, they all wanted mom or dad called to help them get out of it, they all screamed about not touching them. They were all arrested due 100% to their refusal to show ID and it escalated from there. It was eye opening.
Exactly. I read that this generation gets high anxiety when it comes to talking to their own friends on the phone.Anonymous wrote:Desensitized is not tough.
They can’t make phone calls 🤣

Anonymous wrote:My kid is not desensitized to violence in movies and TV because we limit a lot of that stuff, and also she's a sensitive kid anyway (she will refuse to watch even some Disney movies because they are too scary).
But I think she *is* tough, even though she is sensitive to violence. She's hard working and very determined when she is motivated towards something.
There are different kinds of tough, OP, and the kind you are talking about isn't particularly impressive to me.

They laughed and said it was boring and stupid. That they saw scarier ads on YouTube.
Not sure how I feel about that. I know Gen Z gets criticized for being “snowflakes”, I have a feeling Gen Alpha will be desensitized to pretty much everything.

It’s not realistic at all and neither is Fantasia or stuff on YouTube ads. But we were watching the Osama Bin Laden documentary on Netflix the other day and my kid was totally freaked out at the footage of 9/11.
