People who use “vaca” instead of vacation. Saw it first in DCUM a few years ago and have been seeing it a lot more lately.

My friend was wearing a shirt that said "Wife. Mama. Boss" and I couldn't help giggling. This is high fashion among my peers.

I try hard not to make snap judgements on people but any time I hear "mamas" or "boymom" (and I'm a mom of a boy" I am going to struggle to listen to anything they have to say. Those phrases just make me think you're a complete moron.

Overheard at school carnival: "Babe, you ready to head back to the house? I'm thinking grill some burgers." At a volume that could be heard from the moon.
The most annoying part of this is "the house." It's your home! I know you live two blocks away.

Oh my thank you for this! I refrained from posting on that thread just to say it had to be one of the most inane questions I had ever seen on DCUM.

Why is it ok to say brunch but not linner?

I don’t really care either way, but I think supper is a good word describing what this is.

It already had a meaning. A very different meaning. Unavailable/unreachable (or the obvious when discussing how much something cost).

It didn't mean acting wild/inappropriate.
. Thank you. I haven’t heard it used in the new way yet.

What is Linner?

A mid afternoon large meal (lunch/dinner).

If you tolerate "brunch," deal with "linner."

I bet you are perfect, OP. You have never uttered a single stupid thing in your whole life. How do you do it? What can the rest of us learn from your brilliance?
