Nope, no obligation, and I think Shapiro and Dershowitz may be very surprised when the left and right sides of the horseshoe combine forces to keep us out of another foreign war that has nothing to do with US national security.

I keep seeing AIPAC sponsored adds about Iran. Now the news is reporting. Smells like Iraqi all over again. I thought this was an American first administration.

I am not interested in a war with anybody much less Iran. Somebody needs to get after this nonsense before it takes off.

Of course. Trump would love a war then he can declare martial law and name himself President for life.

It is the job of Congress to declare war and only a simple majority is needed.

FDR only declared martial law on Hawaii not the country and that was after the bombing of Pearl Harbor. FDR didn’t stay in office because the country was in war. FDR stayed POTUS because he was reelected after campaigning and competing in a presidential election. This country was in the throes of a bloody civil war and Abe Lincoln competed and was elected for a second term. This country has never not had a presidential election due to war. This time they will launch their improved munitions(Russian techies are in Iran helping with weapons for the Ukraine war) and target Israel, Saudi and Bahrain. Also look for assassinations of the royal families in Jordan, Saudi Jordan and Bahrain

lol joint strike? Israel can not strike a wet paper bag without the US. The US could turn off access to guidance systems and Israel would be out of luck. Also Israel can not stop Iranians missiles. Only the US can to an extent. The US shot down all the stuff Iran sent last time and Israel did not contribute at all. If Iran what they did for 2 days we would not be able to stop it.

We have no treaty obligations with Israel. Israel could not put forces on the ground in Iran because Israel has no capabilities to do so. Iran would be difficult for the US to invade. We would have to send pretty much everything we had including reserves and national guard.

Iran is a huge - twice the population of Iraq and about 6 times more land. Iran is very mountainous with large urban area. Iranians would rally to fight the US and Israel. It would quickly become a drone war like what’s going on in Ukraine right now. Outside a few special forces unit no one in the US military is training against a Ukrainian- Russian level drone environment.

Hey Israel where have you been? We the US have been “striking” the whole region for over 30 years mainly for you. Would have been nice if you could have helped us out in Iraq, Afghanistan, battling Isis, the Ukraine, etc. You being at best a fair weather free rider…or as you say “ally”(lol).

So the answer is NO. Trump has said he will not go to war. Does Israel have any idea how unpopular they are with the general public in the US? The backlash would be crazy.

In the meantime Israel better start paying us back for all the aid we have given them. That over 300 billion. Pay us back.
