Americans don’t know hardly anything at all about Canada. They don’t teach much about Canada in US schools. Canada views the USA the same way that the USA views Mexico now.


I know enough that Newfoundland wasn't always part of Canada.

You should know that a lot of the land that became Canada was negotiated through treaties with First Nations communities. The First Nation communities see the Crown as the original signatories to these treaties.
