Love my Volvo bc of the assisted steering and adaptive cruise control. Heated seats and steering wheel also are hugely helpful. Will never buy car without all these features again.

Our compact SUV Hyundai is an absolute dream. Smooth as butter on the road for long haul road trips. Just caffeinate so you don't doze off

I used to drive across the country (DC to SF) 2x a year for many years, and my favorite car was a Ford Explorer. It had heated seats, air-conditioned seats, and a built-in seat massage. Also, the dash/console layout was simply the most intuitive, and it was so quiet, it was so easy to take calls on speaker. Damn, don't know why we don't have a Explorer now!

TRY THE SEATS, because it depends on your figure and height, OP.

We have two cars, one of which has large, flatish seats that are not made to fit a petite person like me. I get lost in them, and they have less support. The other has much more supportive, smaller seats that fit me better.

+1000 drive to Hilton Head by myself. It is by far the most comfortable car to drive.

This. And at 4-6 hours, where I begin to need a break, it's about concentrating on the road, not the comfort of the seat. I drive regular Hondas and Toyotas, nothing fancy.

We have an Audi Q7, it is the most comfortable car, not to mention it is so heavy, feels great on long car trips! We just went on 2 long trips to pick up kids from college.

Seat warmers are nice but the game changer for me was the heated steering wheel.

This is subjective. I can drive in my 2008 Acura for over 10 hours with no discomfort. We had a new Nissan SUV for a rental and I couldn’t even sit for an hour.

If it’s really a concern, I suggest renting a car that you are considering. Take it on a weekend trip.
