Speaking from the U.S. Department of Justice, Bondi praised the task force’s efforts, attributing the operation’s success to the Trump administration’s renewed focus on immigration enforcement.
President Trump gave us one directive: make America safe again,” Bondi said. “We are so grateful to you, Governor, for everything that you’ve done... because we are coming for you if you are here illegally, you are committing crimes in our country.”
Governor Youngkin detailed the makeup and mission of the task force, which includes state police, corrections officers, and federal agencies such as the FBI, DEA, ATF, and U.S. Marshals. According to Youngkin, those arrested include members of MS-13, the Tren de Aragua gang, human traffickers, and drug traffickers.
“These are violent criminals who shouldn’t be in this country to begin with,” Youngkin said. “Over the last two months [the task force] has been targeting violent criminals who are illegally here, and we just surpassed 1,000."
Youngkin also took aim at Arlington County, criticizing its self-declared sanctuary status and accusing it of obstructing the task force’s operations.
“I want to challenge jurisdictions like Arlington County,” he said. “You should be part of the solution as opposed to standing in the way... we are going to continue to make sure that Virginians are safe.”
Bondi added that the effort reflects a new "gold standard" for collaboration between federal, state, and local law enforcement, contrasting it with what she described as failures by previous administrations.
“Our borders were wide open. These violent gang members and human traffickers were coming into our country,” she said. “Crime has consequences.”
The two leaders encouraged other states to follow Virginia’s model and join the broader effort to curb undocumented immigration linked to criminal activity.
“Help us make America safe again,” Bondi concluded.
Youngkin sounds like an idiot here. Arlington County is the safest place in the country. Fairfax is close. Whether they should be sanctuary cities or not, whether they are sanctuary cities or not, they are tremendously safe. They're not the problem, at all, and the governor should know better.

If you are in the U.S. illegally, you just have to go back.
Yeah, you can do your own roofing and landscaping from now on. So dumb!
Your argument is:
“but who will pick the cotton?”
Is your argument: "We don't need fresh fruits or vegetables"?
Why is it that every single other country in the world with far lower levels of illegal immigration are perfectly capable of picking and growing their own food? Look at countries like South Korea to Japan, which have almost zero illegal immigration compared to the US. Somehow they're capable of producing enough food at very affordable prices that are often cheaper than even the US. How is it that they're capable of doing all of that without hordes of illegal immigration? You're just regurgitating big AG lobbyists' talking points who want to undercut American labor in order to drive up their stock prices.

Biden’s southern border was wide open.
Sure let's just make up stuff.
Given the lack of due process the reality is they aren't adequately determining who is and isn't following legal processes and who is and isn't a criminal. That's what due process is.

It is you who is making stuff up.
Arizona constructed this barrier; Biden sued Arizona to remove it and leave the area open (WFO).

most illegal immigrants are visa overstays.
Having stated that, I also think Biden was dumb about the border. When he got elected in 2020, I stated that he needed to address the border issue with some urgency. Instead, he waited for 3 years, and only after his approval ratings went down the toilet.
Lost opportunity, and now we have the Idiot in Chief who has caused chaos in the economy and markets.

Right, no landscape or roofing work took place before the borders were opened in January 2021.

So you're PRO illegal labor and PRO undercutting of middle class blue collar jobs for Americans? Such a winning strategy.
dp... I'm not for pro illegal labor, but let's be honest.. American workers don't want hard farm jobs or meat cutting jobs for $16/hour. It's back breaking work. And American farmers aren't go to pay $30/hour for that job. And you, the American consumer, are not going to pay $5 per apple. You were already complaining about $8/egg carton.
Most illegal immigrants work in agriculture/farming, construction or lawn services. Guess which party those business owners identify with?
