They do not carry TYR

Maybe it’s actually Speedo as a company that in trouble because they aren’t capable of holding up their end of the bargain for the large teams.
Ever very thought of that OP?

I’m guessing that you cry “drama” every time you don’t like what you hear. I’m just reporting what we were told as swim parents. This was a team where you had to jump through hoops and be poised at your laptop just to secure a time slot to try out for 8u and 10u. The club did not even bother holding tryouts for any kid 11+ because they were so full. 11+ kids submitted their times online and hoped for the best. In other words, they wielded a lot of power over the parents because NY is a madhouse and there are very few pools, and therefore very few opportunities for kids who want to be on a team.

I know Ledecky and Bacon are sponsored by tyr but that can’t be the only reason to switch
Why is everything a sign of financial trouble?
Because the OP is an NCAP hater.

It’s only a big deal at the Sectional level meets and higher
Maybe things have changed, but we belonged to a large tyr sponsored team and were told all kids needed tyr goggles for races, to stop bringing their speedo logo towels to meets, and to stop wearing speedo slides. Age 7 and 10 at the time. Covid hit shortly thereafter, so maybe they loosened up afterwards.
I hope not. We are happy with our Speedo googles and caps. I am not switching those to TYR.
